What are we aiming to provide with this event?
The past three years has been tough for everyone regarding lockdowns, isolations and mental health strains, we at Wooden Spoon Wargaming are here to expand people’s gaming groups and try and provide a hobby positive experience through Warhammer 40000 events starting with our very first event, The Investigation of Starfall Harbour
Set across the planet of Starfall Harbour, the aim of the event will be for each player to take part in 3 differing games, across 3 different settings, meeting new people they haven’t played before and expanding the social aspect of the hobby
Battlefields will feature interesting aspects of terrain, pushing away from competitive setups repetitive bland board layouts

This is not a competitive event, we are you to build your lists to reflect this, any questions, or queries regarding this please get in touch.
We are using the ‘Strike force format from the Warhammer 40000 rule book, restrictions can be found there with regard to mustering your army as well as balance data sheets and FAQ’s produced by Games Workshop
Venue
The venue ‘Unity Hall’ is a wonderful space which we have found and I believe is well suited for this event, within close proximity of Morley high-street and a Morrison super market

War gear
What you will need to bring with you,
A printed copy of your army list, army, all the publications that you need to reference to use your army
Chairs are available at the event but with the possibly a lot of standing around at the table I would suggest comfortable footwear is brought with you
What needs to be on your army list:
Your warlord
Warlord traits given to warlord or any other model by using stratagems
Relics used by your army
All pregame stratagems – extra relics for example
Psychic powers
List submission is 21st July 2022
Third party/3d Printed
3rd Party parts are allowed to be used but completely 3d printed direct rip off’s of models that are produced by Games Workshop for the game of Warhammer 40,000 cannot be used.

Missions
The missions played are those in the standard GW tournament mission pack, they will be randomised, and you will not play the same mission twice or play on the same theme of table twice

Favourite Army Player based voting
Unluckiest player Player based voting
Most Sporting/Unluckiest player
We love this game and we love the positivity this can bring to a person and community, we would like to reward this, after every game players will be able to score their opponents in private
Also if your opponent had a really unlucky game, things were just not going well for them, then you are able to give this a score as well and cheer them up
Favourite army
Armies are to be placed out on tables at the lunch break so players can view all the armies, a paper slip will be given, and votes collected by the WSW team member
Get in touch before the event
We have our own discord server that is up and running, there is a channel already made for this event and waiting for you to come in and meet other people before the event and share your progress of your army getting ready for this show down, the link will be in the registration confirmation email
Social media
We understand peoples need for privacy, we will endeavour not to publish anyone photos or names during the event or afterwards in any media produced to promote the event or Wooden Spoon Wargaming. This will be detailed in the registration email,
Grudge matches/team attending
If there is a certain person who you have a grudge against gaming wise and you both would like to play each other then please let us know before the event, or other wise if you and a team of friends who play regularly are attending and would like to avoid playing each other, the please also get in touch so the pairs can be adjusted
Food and Drink
You will be able to bring your own food and drink with you, there is a kitchen area available for storing food, this is expected to be kept clean by those using it
A separate set of tables will be arranged so people can eat together
No food is to be consumed at the gaming tables
If you have any food allergies that could put you are risk in a contact situation were to occur, please write this on the registration email reply

Tickets will be available from the 1st June 2022 - 0900AM UK time

Covid statement
Covid is still around in many forms, and we want to avoid any situation that would put someone at risk,
Any breach of the rules will result in the player being asked to leave the event and no recalls for a refund available

Symptoms:
If you test positive for covid please do not attend the event, if you are displaying symptoms, please do not attend the event
If you develop symptoms during the event, please contact on the WSW team
Facemasks and Coverings
Facemasks will not be provided by us,
If you are asked by an opponent to wear a mask, please do so
Masks should be worn covering the nose and mouth completely
Sanitiser
Hand sanitiser will be available throughout the gaming area and people are encouraged to use it
Dice/templates/models/tape measures
Please only touch your own models and gaming aid such as dice and tape measures and avoid contact with other peoples gaming aids and models
Social Distancing
We are blessed with a large space that will easily fit everyone in with space to spare. But please respect people’s personal space while they are playing.
We are aiming to make this the first of many events in the future and hope you will have a great experience, good luck
